Hudson Valley Orienteering (HVO) invites you to participate in the 30th annual Billygoat on Sunday April 13th,
2008 at Clear Lake Scout Reservation in Putnam County, New York (50 miles north of New York City).
Walk to start begins at 10:40, with a briefing session to follow. Mass Start at 11:00 am. T-shirts and bragging rights are awarded to all competitors who finish in 3 hours, 30 minutes or less.
For this event we will be using SportIdent(SI) e-punching. For those of you who do not have SI fingers, we have some available for rent for $2 please register early. At registration on the morning of the Billygoat we will collect a deposit for the SI finger rental in the form of car keys or the $40 replacement fee.

Registration Info:
We are using on-line registration including payment (credit card needed) for the 2008 Billygoat. Brown
Paper Tickets is handling the registration processing on HVO's behalf. Although Brown Paper Tickets was
originally designed for theater tickets, we have tailored it to handle our registration for the Billygoat (so you should ignore any reference to ticket pickup/ shipping method throughout the registration form).

Once in the website you begin the process by clicking on the grey button that says Begin Order and then follow
the instructions similar to other online purchase website. You will be asked to provide your details in the
form of questions prior to paying for the entry. Waivers will be signed by each participant on the day of the
event when the meet package is collected from 9:00-10:30 on Sunday April 13th.
If however you feel that you would prefer to use the good old fashioned and reliable postal system and mail your entry, you are free to do so . PLEASE NOTE There is no additional service fee for online registration; we have kept the pricing the same for registration online or for the traditional postal mail entry

Billygoat Fees:
$20 if entered online/postmarked by March 31st
$27 if entered online/postmarked between April 1-10th
$35 day of event if maps are available
$ 2 for SportIdent(SI) e-finger rental
NOTE: If the SI is lost the replacement fee is $40.
Recreational Courses (White/Yellow) will be available from 11:30am-1:00pm; no pre-registration for recreational courses. Normal control cards and manual punching (no e-punching).
Cost for recreational courses will be $5(Adult) $4(Junior) with a maximum of $10 per family. Price for any additional maps will be $2 each.
Baby Sitting:
Please contact the registrar if you would like to use baby sitting for the duration of the event and we will accommodate for a flat fee of $10 per child payable on the day of the event.
Directions:
Taconic State Pkwy to the Peekskill Hollow Rd/Rt 21 Exit (5 miles South of Rt 301; 5 miles North of Rt 6). Go South/West on Peekskill Hollow Rd for approx 1.2 miles and turn right at Tomkins Corner General Store onto Wiccopee Road. Go approximately 0.5 miles and turn left onto Oscawana Heights Road. Go 1.6 miles and turn right onto Northshore Road. Camp Entrance is approx 0.3 miles on the right. Follow O signs to parking lot.
Please allow plenty of time to travel to the event site and bring along a road map. The roads in the area can be confusing. DO NOT RELY on GPS navigation, some will send you along a road which is not driveable and closed for traffic.
